How To Add A Pet To A Household Sims 4

Now that you’ve created a pet, it’s time to add it to your household! The steps below will help you accomplish this task.

1. Open Up The Sims 4 Gallery

• Go to sims4.com and log in
• Click on the gallery icon in the top menu
• Click on the gallery tab in the top menu

2. Click On Your Gamepack

• Click on your game pack. This will take you to a list of all the expansion packs that are currently installed on the computer where The Sims is installed, as well as any game packs you have downloaded.

If you do not see this option, then it means that your version of The Sims does not support game packs (this is unlikely). In this case, you will need to update your version of The Sims before continuing with these steps.

3. Click On Home

4. Click On The Create A Sim Icon

To add a pet to your household, you will need to click on the ‘Create A Sim’ icon at the bottom of your screen. This will open up a new window with two options: Sims and Pets. Clicking on ‘Pets’ will allow you to create a pet.

5. Select Pet

Select the pet you want to add, and then click Ok.

6. Create Your Pet

• Select the pet you would like to create.
• Select the breed you would like to create.
• Select the gender you would like to create.
• Select the color you would like to create.
• Name your pet with a name of your choosing (or use one we suggested).
• Create a unique personality for your pet, or select from our list of pre-made personalities that fit well with certain breeds!

7. Save It In Your Gallery

Save the pet to your gallery by clicking on the save button.

Now that you’ve created, named and saved your new pet, all that’s left to do is add them to a household!

Go to the world you would like to have a pet in. If it’s not the active world, select the world from your list of saved worlds and select Enter World.

Click on the gallery icon in the top bar menu, which looks like an open book and should be next to your little blue house icon on most screens (if it’s not there anymore, it may have been removed). This will bring up a dropdown menu where you can select Browse Gallery or Create A Sim if you want to make one yourself instead!

9. Open Up Live Mode

Live mode is where you’ll be spending most of your time in The Sims 4, since it’s here that you can interact with the sims and other objects.

To add a pet to a household (or multiple households) using live mode:

• Open up Live Mode.
• Click on the house icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. This will open up options for all of the structures on this lot, including houses, gardens and other buildings like public spaces or clubs.
• Select “Build” from this menu to bring up a list of things that can be added to this lot by clicking them once. All types of buildings/objects are available here; as well as pets!

10. Click On The Gallery Icon In The Top Bar Menu, And Select Browse Gallery.

• Navigate to the Gallery and find your pet, then click on it.
• Click on “Add To Household”
• You can have multiple pets in a household, but if you have more than one sim living in the house (or it’s just a stray pet), you’ll need to do this for each of them individually

Once you’ve created the pet in the gallery, it is possible to add it to households!

To add a pet to a household, you will have to search for it in the gallery. You can access the gallery by clicking the icon that looks like a picture frame on the top bar menu. The first thing you should do is click Browse Gallery and then select your pet from your saved characters. Clicking on Add To Household will bring up another window where you can select which household (or households) would most benefit from having this new addition!
