- Buff Orpington: This breed originated in England and was developed from the large Orpington breed. The buff color is a rich golden yellow with black wings, tail and beak. The hens lay brown eggs and they are good mothers.
- Indian Game: This breed was developed in India and has been known for centuries as the Cochin or Cochin China chicken. They are wonderful egg layers, but they don’t do well in cold weather because they don’t have enough feathers to keep warm.
- Sebright: This breed originated in England around 1790 when a small black bantam hen was crossed with an imported large white Leghorn cock. The resulting offspring were small, with five toes instead of four like most other breeds have. They are extremely active and curious birds who will jump rather than walk if given the chance!

Dorking Bantam
The Dorking Bantam is another popular breed of bantam chickens which originated from England. They have a short tail, round head and small comb. The plumage of these birds is mostly white with black stripes on their sides and back. They are also known to lay around 120 brown eggs per year.
Easter Egger Bantam
This breed was developed in the United States in the 1980s by crossing two different breeds of chickens called the Ameraucana and Araucana chickens. The Easter Egger has a pea comb which makes it look like an Easter egg when it hatches from its shell. It has blue or green eggs which makes this bird unique from all other bantams. The color of the egg depends on which variety you choose but they all lay blue or green eggs!

Langshan: This breed is one of the oldest types of chickens in existence and dates back to China around 1600 BC! Langshans are large birds with white feathers and black legs and their feathers are so long that they look like they’re wearing pantaloons!
Polish: The Polish chicken comes from Poland where it has been bred for hundreds of years for its high egg production and good temperament. It’s not uncommon for a Polish hen to produce 300 eggs per year!
