The Abyssinian is also known as a “tuxedo cat” because of the characteristic long-haired coat that resembles a tuxedo suit with white gloves and white boots. The coat conceals the Abyssinian’s muscular body, which makes it look like it’s just stuffed with cotton candy!

Although they’re not known for being lap cats (they prefer to lounge around on their own), they are very affectionate with their owners. The Turkish Van is an intelligent cat that likes to play games such as hide-and-seek or fetch with you!
I love cats. I’ve always loved cats. My first cat was a grey tabby named Tippy, who I got when I was eight years old. She wasn’t much of a lap cat, but she loved to play fetch with the ball of string that dangled from the lampshade above my bed and would chase after the dust mites that would float into her cage during those long summer days when my parents left me home alone all day.
I’ve had several other cats over the years, including a Siamese mix named Sam who was pretty close to being a lap cat but still preferred chasing dust mites and playing fetch to being cuddled. And then there’s my current cat, who is a brown tabby named Alfie (yes, I know). He’s definitely more of a lap cat than any of my other pets have been. But even though he likes to be held sometimes, he’s also very playful and active and loves chasing things around the house and looking out windows at birds on trees outside our house.
